K' EXPERIENCE
My experience with hypnosis began after I really reached the bottom. I used to have a distorted vision of alcohol… I didn’t use to drink to relax and be with friends, it was a moment of self-destruction. At any occasion that allowed it I used to be the wasted one, the one who used to create problems. I had accidents and I have been violent with myself… until I reached the bottom and decided that I wanted to be helped. With hypnosis and a work on myself I succeeded in exiting the vicious circle. Hypnosis helps us in letting our most instinctive parts emerge… those parts that aim to our survival. It is difficult to understand what is better for us even when it is about the most elementary things in the world... Food, water, rest. Unfortunately we can get lost in life, we can lose ourselves. We may even begin to consider some things as good or useful even when they are not so. Regardless their being people or substances. We stop loving ourselves. And, in the end, the only way to get out of is to be found inside ourselves. Survival instinct. Animals refuse and avoid what may endanger their lives, why is it that we jump in the gully, we drown in a glass and flare up with inanimate objects ending up with injuring ourselves? It is as hard as it is obvious… It is not easy to work on ourselves, to start over and to reconsider mechanisms that became automatic… it is hard to learn to listen to our bodies… but it is all about obvious things, we feel our body when it signals us that something is noxious (as the retch when we had one drink too many), but we simply don’t listen to it. It is our subconscious talking to us, telling us to stop. Hypnosis helps us to connect with our subconscious and to listen to it. It allows us to recover natural mechanisms that are inside of ourselves and, being them natural and inside ourselves, results are lasting.
